Method
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and mix together well.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet. Mix well until a ball of dough has formed.
- Wrap the dough up in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes before rolling it out.
- Remove the dough from the fridge, roll the dough out on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick. Using cookie cutters, cut out the desired shapes.
- Bake cookies at 375 degrees for 9-10 minutes.
Confectioner's Sugar Icing
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired thickness.
- Transform this sugar glaze by adding a little coconut, almond or any of your other favorite flavored extracts.
