I absolutely love these gold hoop wreaths. I think they look so elegant, classy and chic. Lately, I began to think how we don’t have many family pictures around our house. I wanted to start hanging some frames up with pictures inside and add these wreaths next to the frames. I decided to try and make the wreath myself. Here is my DIY gold hoop wreath.
Supplies I used for this:
- 12 inch gold hoop
- Gold wire
- Artificial flower stems
- Hot Glue Gun
How to Make:
Arrange the flower stems on the hoop loosely. Play around with it to see how you want to have it on there. Make sure if you are layering the flower arrangements, you have tried to see if it works. You don’t want to assume and then have to start all over later on.
Next, take the layers of the flowers off and only leave the flower arrangement that will be used for your base. Afterwards, take your wire and wrap it around the base of the flower arrangement. You will want to wrap it to create a twisty pointing towards you. Twist the wire a few times so that it is tight against the hoop.
Now, you will wrap the wire from the base towards the top. Wrap your wire in small tight hoops. You will want this piece to stay tight on the hoop. Once you have tightly wrapped it as far as you can go.
Taking the extra flower arrangements you have, cut away at them with pieces that you can use to layer on top of your already attached flower arrangements. You want to take these extra pieces to hide the wires you used to wrap. Using a hot glue gun, you will glue these extra pieces on.
Ta-da! You have your beautiful DIY gold hoop wreath!
