My Famous Pumpkin Bread
It is not the pumpkin spiced latte that I look forward to each fall, but making pumpkin bread. My pumpkin bread recipe sure has won some popularity over the years and every time I make it, people always call for more. Hint the name: My Famous Pumpkin Bread.
This sweet bread tastes like the fall season. With tastes of cinnamon and allspice wrapped in each bite of pumpkin. When the weather starts getting chilly or when its the first of September, I start stockpiling canned pumpkin. I have been making this recipe for years now! My famous pumpkin bread recipe will knock your socks off!
You can’t really mess up this recipe unless you forget to add an ingredient. It so easy to follow and flexible to add to. Add dried cranberries, chocolate chips or nuts.
How to Make it:
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, combine all of your wet ingredients plus the sugar to the bowl and mix altogether. You want to make sure that the oil and water are well blended together and not separated.
Next, add in your spices + your dry ingredients. This is where it all comes together and smells quite delicious. During this step, you will want to make sure that your dry ingredients are well blended.
This recipe is so big so the flour and baking soda can clump up and create balls in your batter. You don’t want those because then while it is baking those balls will open up. These are not good to bite into. They taste salty and bitter. It can ruin the flavor of your bread.
Once you have blended all of the ingredients together well, pour the batter into bread prepared bread pans. I prepare my 9×5 pans with oil and flour just to make sure it doesn’t stick. Next, place it in the oven for 45-50 minutes. The smell that fills your house is the scent you smell in the candles at the candle store. It smells delectable!
Once it is done baking, pull it out of the oven to cool. You can serve it warm with butter on top or at room temperature. Either way, it will get eaten up! Bon Appetit!
