One Year in our Home
Its been one year since we bought our dream home and moved in. So many memories have been made in this house in such a short amount of time. This home has been our safe haven, our gathering place, our security during quarantine, our work place, and where we come together each day to have good times.
We have done so many home improvements to make this place ours. The interior colors, the furniture and pictures we have bought to hang, the fence transformation, the fireplace update, the makeover for Rhett’s room.
This home really makes me happy. It has so much room on the inside and out. The kids each have their own room and can share if our family expands, the living room is spacious and looks out towards the sunset, the formal dining room has become one of my favorite rooms as a place to gather, the front porch has room for us to sit and watch, and the backyard has room for soccer games and views of the cows. There are so many good things happening in this home and we have so much more to fill in it.
This has been Mattisyn’s fifth home, Ava’s third, and Rhett’s second. I want to say this is our forever home, but don’t know where our future will take us. Right now I am just so grateful to have this place and call it ours.
Within this year, we have experienced all of the holidays here. We have seen what each holiday has to offer in this home and what fun we can have with everyone’s birthday. We have experienced snow, spring weather storms and strong heat waves. This home has kept us safe through it all.
